About Us
In 1984, Van den Bos decided to develop a cold-storage facility on the West
Coast of the USA under the name of Flamingo Holland Inc. for sales of bulbs to
wholesale flower growers. Operations initially opened in Oceanside, California
and moved in 1995 to larger installations in Vista, California located 35 miles
north of San Diego.Over the years Flamingo has grown into a world-class
company, trading in more than 30 million bulbs per year.
Our customers include cut flower growers, container nurseries and potted
nurseries throughout the USA including Hawaii.
Flamingo's facilities include 13 climate-controlled rooms with a total
capacity of 40,000 crates. Lilies occupy two thirds of the room capacity. There
are 5 separate lily rooms to store the various breeds of lilies, such as
Asiatics, Orientals, L.A. Hybrids and Oriental trumpets. Each breed of lily
needs to be stored at a unique temperature to ensure quality.
With storage capacity and the flexibility to store bulbs at numerous
temperature and humidity specifications, Flamingo Holland sells a wide variety
of bulbs and tubers.

In addition to these foremost varieties we also sell Kniphofia, Eremurus,
Crocosmia, Narcissus, Amaryllis, Aconitum, Convallaria, Callas etc. Please call us for
any bulbs not listed above. Shipments are received on a regular basis from
Holland, Israel and Chile. If additional bulbs are needed, we may be able to
make arrangements for you.
